."Under the terms of the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts, 2012-2016 ("the Acts"), all persons who are employed in positions where they have regular access to children and vulnerable persons must be vetted by the National Vetting Bureau. Section 21 of the Acts provides that it is an offence for an employer to employ a person who works with children or vulnerable persons where an application for vetting has not been submitted to the National Vetting Bureau for that person by 31 December 2017."

Club Validation Officer/Children’s Officer is responsible for checking the identification documents match that of the person, that the documents are correct and in line with the 100 point system (as outlined in document below). Upon receipt of your Vetting Invitation Form, Garda ID Validation form and copies of your verified ID Volleyball Ireland will email you an invitation to complete the remainder of your Garda vetting application online. Following this, you will receive a tracking number which you can use to track the current status of your Garda vetting application.
If a Garda vetting applicant is aged 16 or 17, the above documentation must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian Consent form (NVB 3).
