This Thursday 12th December our senior school finals event will feature finals for both boys and girls in the A, B & C categories with Colaiste Mhuire of Ennis favourites to defend their crown. They will face strong opposition from Dublin based Rockford Manor. The match will feature key players from the U17 Girls National squad such as captain Maria Jones and Laura Connolly going head to head.
The Boys A final pits St. Flannan’s College against Drumshanbo, who overcame champions St. Brigid’s Loughrea in a thrilling semi final. The Leitrim side will be looking to go one step further this year, but with Flannans having U20 National Team stars Cathal Dwyer and Cian Humphreys in their lineup it could be a second trophy heading back to County Clare. Drumshanbo captain and leader Gareth Gilmartin will have something to say about that.
Both Senior A matches promise to be crackers!
In the B Finals, Colaiste An Eachreidh of Athenry take on Grange Community College of Dublin in the boys and in the girls Scoil Mhuire of Strokestown, Roscommon entertain Patrician Presentation of Fethard, Tipperary. If these matches are half as good as last year the crowds will be in for a great day.
The Senior C Girls sees a second school from Roscommon represented as Elphin CC take on St Leo’s of Carlow.
