Without organisation your session will lack structure, direction and also will not look professional.

Before carrying out your session there are different aspects that should be considered, these are:

  1. Health & Safety
  2. Drills to be used in your Session
  3. Type of session

Drills of Your Session

When deciding the theme of your session and which drills to use, consider the age, ability and skill level of the students. This is very important as each of these will help to ensure that the session is beneficial to each child.

Delivery of Session

When delivering your session it is important to look at methods of control and communicating with the children. Using both visual and verbal methods of control are very important, some examples of these are:

  • Get eye contact with the pupils to make sure that you have their attention. Then you will know that they are all listening.
  • The tone that you talk to the children will be very important, Use an assertive, clear tone of voice when passing on information.
