1. Licensed Regional - Sport Development Officers

The Volleyball Association of Ireland plans to further develop volleyball in all areas of the country. The key element of the VAI strategy is to increase participation at all levels of the game with a particular emphasis on schools.

The use of an adapted game (SpikeBall*) at school level has proved to be hugely successful and the VAI wish to capitalise on this and other programmes to spread the game throughout Ireland.

The VAI are seeking self-motivated individuals who will operate to help increase the growth of the sport around the country. These Licensed Regional - Sport Development Officers will deliver services, on a self-financing basis, throughout their licensed region(s). They will be supported and trained by the VAI. The ideal candidates will have a sports coaching / development background though not necessarily in Volleyball.

(SpikeBall* - This is the VAI's adapted game, especially designed to suit beginners)
