U16 Women to hold open trials

The Ireland U16 Womens Team are holding trials shortly. The Elite Squad is being expanded in preparation for a Tournament in Italy at the end of June 2019.

Trials are open to players born after 1st of January 2004. An Elite Squad of approximately 20 players will be picked and from this 12-14 players will be chosen for the tournament which will me held in Sardinia from June 27th to June 30th.

The trials are open to players that comply with the below criteria:

  • Have played volleyball regularly for at least one year
  • Is currently attending no less than 2 training sessions per week between club and school (if applicable)

 
Players will be assessed by the International Team coaching staff and must be able to commit to the training schedule below to prepare for the Tournament.
 

  • Feb 16th – Naas or Newbridge – players from East/Northeast/Southeast – St Mary’s Secondary School, Naas, 2-5pm
  • March 2nd – Ennis – players from West/Southwest/Northwest – Colaiste Muire Ennis, 11am
  • March 16th  18th
  • March 30th -31st
  • April 13th -14th
  • April 22nd
  • April 27th -28th
  • May 11th -12th
  • May 18th -19th
  • May 25th- May 26th

These Training sessions will be help at a number of venues across the country.

In order to attend the trials every player has to be registered. Please provide us via email her Name and Surname and a bit of her volleyball background. Trials are open exclusively to players with an Irish passport.
