What is a Constitution?
Simply put, a Club Constitution is a set of rules that guides how a club works and should be run.
Why is it important?
A club constitution is a written document that states the rules and structures that govern the club. It outlines the functions of the club and the procedures for membership, disciplinary, meetings and committees to name a few. A club constitution is usually required to open a club bank account and when applying for funding through grant applications.
Where do I get one?
Your club can use this Club Constitution Template to begin with. Feel free to search other club constitutions to see what else they cover in theirs. Remember, this is unique to your club so time should be invested.
