When asked about her proudest volleyball moment, Alex's response was "Competing with my partner for Ireland in the Continental Cup Olympic beach volleyball qualifier on Irish beaches - first competition of its kind in Ireland, and beating Slovakia in the 3rd set, leaving it all on the court". Her favourite thing about competing is "When the ‘team tide’ rises and we’re in flow" and Alex's biggest volleyball role model is Kerri Walsh. Alex does not have a pre-game ritual but says "I usually start warmup early with theraband exercises to ensure my body is ready for play."
