Maria Simina Custura

When asked about her proudest volleyball moment, Simina's response was "Being part of the Ireland National Team". Her favourite thing about competing is "Excitement. Teamwork. The ability to work with others to achieve a common goal, not only in sport but in life. Developing emotional control" and Simina's biggest volleyball role model is Kim yeon koung, Jordan Larson and Andrea Drews. Like many athletes, Simina does have a pre-game ritual which she tells us consists of "I affirm repeatedly that it will be an amazing day, an incredible game, and that we will win".
