Volleyball Ireland are deeply saddened by the passing of Mary Lalor.
Mary had a profound impact on all areas of Irish Volleyball in schools, clubs and national teams. Over many decades she has inspired, mentored and educated generations of players, coaches and referees, as well as volunteers and staff.
She leaves a great legacy, which Volleyball Ireland are eternally grateful for.
President of Volleyball Ireland Clodagh Nic Canna commented, ”We are heartbroken to hear of Mary’s passing. Mary was ahead of her time with an infectious energy, drive and passion for Volleyball. She touched so many hearts and minds, I will miss her greatly as will all her Volleyball family”.
Mary’s family welcome anyone from the Volleyball community who wish to pay their respects, to join in person or online.
