Ireland’s U20 Beach Volleyball team Ciagan Davoren and Liam Corcoran are ready for the EuroVolley Championships in Lativa.
The Galway and Trinity College pair both represented Ireland at the Indoor SCA in Andorra earlier this year, with Davoren named the tournament’s best Libero. The partnered for the first time last weekend at the SCA Beach Finals in Perth, Scotland, where they took a credible quarter final finish.
The lads have entered EuroVolley at the qualifying stage and will be up against tough opposition with the likes of Portugal, Cyprus and Scotland are vying for two places in the main draw. Beach Performance Director Mel Chevison said, “The lads have worked so hard the last few months really giving it their all to prepare for this tournament. It’s a big challenge but we’re all excited to see how they go.”
