The Confederation de Europeene Volleyball have launched an exciting new coaching and teaching handbook and resource pack.
Resources include over 30 videos focussing on fun games and technique development, as part of the CEV Schools Project – Play Volleyball, Grow With It.
These materials represent a complete update of the content released in 2021, and reflect the close collaboration established with legendary Beach Volleyball coach Kåre Mol of Norway and the prestigious Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln (DSHS), led by German Coach Educator Dr. Jimmy Czimek.
This partnership has resulted in two comprehensive courses open to the public: “Play to Learn” and “Play Volleyball – Grow with it’.
“Play to Learn” was developed in collaboration with Kåre Mol, father and coach of world-renowned player, Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion and multiple European champion Anders Mol. This course offers five levels of tips and drills that can be practiced both outdoors (Beach Volleyball) and indoors. These drills, which Mol used to train his sons to become professional players, are accompanied by as many as 75 instructional video clips that anyone can use to enhance their volleyball skills.
An online course is also available which prepares coaches and teachers to deliver introductory Volleyball for children aged 6-14years old. Coaches and Teachers can register for the course and access all free materials here.
The online course is available for seven days.
Volleyball Ireland were a founding partner of the Erasmus funded project, with CEO Gary Stewart sitting on the project’s steering group, he commented, “I’d like to thank CEV and in particular Vuk Karanovic and his Development department for driving this important project for the whole of European Volleyball. The video and handbook are fantastic tools that will help coaches and teachers give all kids a great early experience of Volleyball. I highly recommend our community take advantage of this,”
