Ciagan Davoren and Jess Dowling impressed on day 2 of the 5 Nations Challenge.
Trinity College Libero Davoren was ranked amongst the day’s top passers, and stands third in the tournament rankings with an 86% pass rating, whilst Gardians’ outside Dowling hit 6 aces as a young Ireland team overcame Northern Ireland 3-0. After three matches, Laura Connolly leads the tournament in successful blocks (6).
Both Men’s and Women’s teams lost in straight sets to Scotland, whilst the Men’s team were also defeated by Northern Ireland.
Both teams play Northern Ireland in respective bronze medal matches tomorrow.
