A spirited annual fixture against our Northern Irish counterparts, celebrating sporting rivalry and strengthening cross-border competition. For the first time, the event will feature U18, U20, and Senior teams, making it a true showcase of talent across all levels of the High-Performance pathway.

  • Nations Cup: May 16–17, (Venue TBD) Ireland
A vibrant celebration of diversity within our volleyball community, the Nations Cup gives players the opportunity to represent their countries of origin in a festival of competition, culture, and international spirit.

  • Senior Men’s Small Countries Association (SCA) Championship: June 4–8, Northern Ireland
The men’s national team heads north to battle zonal rivals for SCA honours.

  • Senior Women’s SCA Championship: June 25th – 29th, Andorra
The Women’s national team heads Andorra to battle zonal rivals for SCA honours, seeking another medal!

  • Four Nations Tournament: August 1–2, University of Limerick, Ireland
Volleyball Ireland will host the Four Nations, welcoming top-level competition to Ireland as part of our commitment to elevate the High-Performance pathway.

Why These Events Matter

This calendar underpins our strategic High-Performance objectives for 2025, offering valuable competitive exposure across multiple levels and building momentum toward European and global competitions. Hosting the historic double-gender U18 SCA Championships highlights Ireland’s growing reputation as a host nation for international volleyball. Community-driven events like the Nations Cup showcase the rich diversity of Irish volleyball, while fixtures such as the St. Patrick’s Day Challenge and the Four Nations Tournament provide critical opportunities for our Senior and U20 teams to sharpen their skills against strong opposition.

Volleyball Ireland remains committed to growing the sport through high-quality competition and continued support of athletes and coaching staff.
