All Ireland School Championships 2024

What a week of programmes and competition between the volleyball federations of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Starting the week right was an historic CEV schools project programme involving border primary schools. Meanwhile finishing the week in style is the 2024 St Patrick’s Challenge (tickets), but taking centre stage tomorrow is the All Ireland School Finals.

The host venue for this year is Craigavon’s South Lake Leisure Centre, March 14th.

All games will be streamed and available for viewing from 10am (seniors) & 11.30 am (U16s)

Senior Boys

Patrician High School VS Campbell College.

No shortage of international players on display in this exciting opening match of the day. Patrician HS are no strangers to the All Ireland final, having won the u16 title two years ago. They will be heading to Craigavon to defend their Senior title having overcome Portadown this time last year in Dublin.

Senior Girls

Holy Family VS Portadown College.

Similar to the boys, Holy Family have found success at both U16 and Senior All Ireland finals the last two years in a row. Their opponents are Portadown College who they faced in the 21-22 final coming out on top ( 25-11, 25-13)

U16 Boys

St Brigid’s College VS Dalriada School

St Brigid’s College will make the long journey from Loughrea hoping for their first title in this age category since 2016! Standing in their way is Dalriada School who are making their first appearance since 2014.

U16 Girls

Colaiste Muire VS Dalriada School

The Ennis school have remained a constant at these finals having appeared in three of the last four across the two age categories. Looking to add to their national title back in January the girls will have to overcome Dalriada School, a team they faced last year again at U16 level.

Volleyball Ireland wish all teams the best of luck and thank Paul McIlwaine and NIVB  for coordinating this year’s event.
