Volleyball Coaching legend Marco Mencarelli has been announced as the key note speaker for the VLY Live, on October 7th & 8th.
Mencarelli is the Head Coach of Club Italia- the famed youth development system for the Italian Volleyball Federation. Until recently, Italy were World and European Champions at every age group, both Men & Women. Mencarelli is a coaching guru, having authored numerous best selling coaching books and manuals. He is widely considered as the architect of Italy’s Coach Education system.
He has coached the Italian u17, u18, u19 and u20 Female teams as well as the Senior Italy squad.
Mencarelli will be delivering several theoretical and practical sessions at VLY Live, which will be held at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena, Blanchardstown.
Mencarelli’s attendance is thanks to Volleyball Ireland’s strategic partnership with FIPAV. VLY CEO Gary Stewart said, “We’d like to put on record our sincere thanks to President Manfredi and the team at FIPAV for facilitating Mr Mencarelli’s trip to Ireland. To have coaches of this calibre coming to Ireland to educate our coaches is incredible. It’s a wonderful opportunity for everyone in Ireland to learn from the absolute very best.”
