The DVC man has impressed whilst in temporary control, overseeing National Team trials that attracted 38 players. Mark said, “I am very privileged to be appointed to the role. What I have seen in terms of the talent available and interest in the sport makes this an exciting time for Irish Volleyball.”
Mark has an ambitious vision for the National Women’s team programme and aims to create a system that will give Irish teams success over many years, “I can’t wait to get started and I hope that by working in partnership with Coaches, Clubs, Schools, the Association and most importantly the players we can continue to develop and grow our amazing sport.”
Work is underway to establish a coaching and support team at a number of key National Team age groups.
