The world famous Youth Development Coach Marco Mencarelli, delivered a series of Master class workshops for Volleyball Ireland coaches and players over the weekend.
The Italian, who is Head Coach at Club Italia – the famed development school – focussed his work on serving techniques and principles of defense. Mencarelli delivered insightful theoretical presentations, as well as practical demonstrations for Development Centre and National team athletes.

Volleyball Ireland are grateful to Marco and President Manfredi of the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV). Volleyball Ireland Chief Executive Gary Stewart commented,

Over 500 people attended the VLY. Live event, which included a seminar from Olympic Referee Daniele Rapisarda, a fun mini-volley tournament for kids and International matches between Ireland’s u20 Men’s and Women’s team, which Ireland won 3:2 and 3:0 respectively.
