National Youth Leagues Underway

The VLY. National Youth Leagues get underway this Saturday with the first serve taking place 11.30am in Galway City.

Over the next few weeks, we will see the launch of multiple new leagues and regional divisions in both 16U and Development Leagues for boys and girls.

Conor Flood, National Development Manager. “It’s another year of positive numbers and growth across all youth competitions for us. The clubs have been working hard on developing their junior sections and it shows in this year’s record number of entries. We are delighted to support new 16U and development leagues for boys as well as regionalising leagues for 16U girls and development league women. I’m really looking forward to a fantastic season ahead.”

There have been noticeable new junior entries this season from clubs like Ballymun Patriots and Carrick Crows, as well as a return of familiar names like Mayo VC, only this time in youth leagues.

We want to welcome back all teams to this year’s competitions and wish you the best of luck.

“The club are absolutely delighted at this stage of our development to be preparing a girl and 2 boys’ teams for the VLY youth leagues this season. It comes at a time when our juniors are eager to play in competitions and display their skills and teamwork. The club want to thank volleyball Ireland for making the leagues a reality and a key youth development pathway for the future of volleyball.
