As 2024 gets underway it’s Go Go Go in Schools Volleyball.
Having witnessed new Senior Champions crowned in December plus the U16’s Finals coming soon on January 23rd, it’s now time for the youngest of our Secondary Schools to take to the courts.
In Term 1 of 2023-24 the 1st & 2nd years engaged in 4v4 introduction to volleyball blitzes around Ireland. These events doubled up as preparation for some schools as they look to deliver serious impact in their 6v6 Junior Championships (January – April)
Also getting underway in January is the Schools Cup. (January – May) A competition like no other in schools volleyball. The Cup offers excitement of new schools taking on traditional volleyball schools. All Divisions! All Ages! 1 Competition!
Conor Flood, Development Manager
As the two events kickstart 2024 for us, we will get to see another 204 teams competing, learning and enjoying the game of volleyball. These latest competitions bring our total to 619 school teams being involved since September. With Primary Schools and Beach Volleyball yet to come we are excited to keep pushing towards that goal of 1000 entries. I wish all teams the best of luck as they begin their campaigns over the next few weeks.
