Sunshine 106.8 – Dublin’s easy place to relax, has been announced as the official radio partner of the u20 Women’s European Volleyball Championship, which will be held at the Sport Ireland Campus from August 5th to 13th.
The partnership between Dublin’s most popular radio station for over 18s, and Volleyball Ireland will see promotional adverts and a special sport show feature with Ken Doherty and Robbie Corrigan.
Volleyball Ireland CEO Gary Stewart was excited to launch the innovative partnership, “The core aim of hosting this major women’s sports event is to inspire the next generation of youngsters into our game. Sunshine 106.8’s core listenership will help us get as many people to the matches as possible. Once you’re in the door, you’ll be amazed by the athleticism and skill of the best young athletes in the world.”
Latest JNLR statistics show that Sunshine 106.8 is Dublin’s most popular station for adults, and the clear winner amongst the over 35 age group – many of which have children at the key target age Volleyball Ireland are looking to attract. Around 60% of listeners are women, which is a similar ratio to Volleyball Ireland’s participation membership.
