Player Registration is Now Open

Player registration for the 2024/25 season is now open. All players require an active player license to compete in the 2024/25 National League season.

To offset recent inflation, rising insurance costs, as well as the enhancement of events, the new season will see an increase in player licensing fees, for the first time in 8 years.

Adult National League licenses are now €40 (from €35)

Student/Unwaged licenses remain at €25

Youth National League is now €20 (from €15)

Non-League Adults is now €20 (from €15)

Non-League Youth is now €10 (from €5)

Referee and Coach licenses remain the same €20

Volleyball Ireland Chief Executive Gary Stewart commented, “We thought long and hard about the licensing costs for the new season. But the reality is the product we offer now is significantly better than it was in 2017, and it costs more to deliver. We’ve advanced the League with the introduction of an online membership system, e-scoring has added value, lots of incredible coach education with world class speakers has been delivered, we’re delivering so much Referee training, live streaming has been rolled out to a high level, and we now deliver really high quality events in brilliant venues such as the Cup Finals Weekend and the new Grand Finals for adults and youth. As well as that, things simply cost a lot more than they did in 2017;  our insurance premium is up 47% in that time, and like everyone the day-to-day bills only go in one direction. All those improvements cost money and we need to be able to keep growing and developing the sport further.”

All club players, regardless of their level must have an active license.

Players, coaches and referees can purchase a new playing license here.
