U20 Men, U18 Women, U20 Women, East Regional Development Centre Trials Dates!

Coaches and national team staff will be busy over the next few weekends, evaluating talent from around the country with trials and training sessions for the U20 Men, U20 Women, U18 Women, and Regional Development Centres.

Trials are scheduled at Castlepark School in Dalkey, Co. Dublin (https://goo.gl/maps/iK8ogxykPK121aA49) for the following groups, on the following dates:

  • Saturday, 9 September: 10am-1pm, East Region Development Centre girls’ trials
  • Saturday, 9 September: 1pm-4pm, East Region Development Centre boys’ trials
  • Sunday, 10 September: 1pm-5pm, U20 mens’ trials

 

  • Saturday, 16 September: 10am-2pm, U20 womens’ trials/training
  • Saturday, 16 September: 2pm-5pm, U18 womens’ trials

 

In Spring, 2024, the U20 men and U18 women will be competing in Small Countries’ Association tournaments, and the U20 women’s team is preparing for a big tournament in the summer of 2024. The goal is to select our best and brightest athletes for these competitions and continue Ireland’s growth as a volleyball country in the thick of the action with the best of Europe and beyond.

U20 Men

Head Coach Alessandra Trio will be holding trials for the U20 Men’s National Team at Castlepark School in Dalkey, Co. Dublin (https://goo.gl/maps/iK8ogxykPK121aA49) on Sunday, September 10th, from 1pm-5pm.

This is for players born in 2005 or later who hold an Irish passport or are in the process of getting their Irish passport. Please RSVP here: https://forms.office.com/r/72WTMbR7RN

Players should arrive in gear suitable for playing volleyball in and with water.

Unfortunately, parking is not available at Castlepark this weekend, but there is ample on-street parking on Elton Park, Dundela Park, and other streets near the school.

 

Regional Development Centre Trials – East Girls

On Saturday, the 9th of September, from 10am-1pm we invite girls born in 2009, 2010, and 2011 to attend trials at Castlepark School in Dalkey, Co. Dublin (https://goo.gl/maps/iK8ogxykPK121aA49).

This is for players born in 2009, 2010, and 2011 who hold an Irish passport or are in the process of getting their Irish passport. We will accept a few 2008 players, please contact pathways@volleyballireland.com to discuss.

This is for players born in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
