Edyta Jozwiak-McMullan has been appointed Head Coach of Ireland’s u22 Women’s team for their upcoming European Championships qualifying campaign.
The Gardians Middle and multiple All-Star winner has been assisting Senior team Head Coach Mark Delahunty for the last 18 months, including at tournaments in Iceland and the Novotel Cup last January in Luxembourg.
Delahunty said, “Over the last few years Edyta has really grown as a Coach, combining her experiences with a top club team in Gardians and with the National Team setup. Coupled with a winning mindset as a player, it makes her the perfect choice for what will be a massive challenge against some of Europe’s best age group teams. She’s been working with the girls for a while and they all look up to her, literally and figuratively! I’m excited to see what her and the girls can do this July.”
The u22 team will face Ukraine and Denmark – both of whom finished in the top8 of last year’s European Championships, and the hosts Portugal over the weekend of July 21-23rd.
