Ireland’s u22 Women’s National Team have launched a fundraising campaign ahead of next month’s CEV European Championship Qualifiers.
Led by Edyta Jozwiak-McMullan, 14 players will be heading to Portugal to take on Denmark, Ukraine & the hosts, for a place in the 2024 European Finals.
Competing against three of Europe’s top teams is no walk-in-the-park, but the girls have been working hard to best prepare for the challenge ahead. Munster Thunder’s Maria Jones said, “I’m super excited to going to Portugual with such an amazing bunch. I feel so priviledged to call these girls my teammates and friends. We have really gelled in the run up to the competition whilst training hard and organising a number of fundraising events. We still have a way to go, but we’re making steady progress. We have a few events planned as well as our GoFundMe campaign, please support us if you can.”
As well as the GoFundMe campaign the team are organising a pub quiz at Johnno’s Bar, Ennis next Friday July 7th, as well as regular bag packs and cake sales.
