Volleyball Ireland in partnership with Sport Ireland wish to appoint a recent graduate to take part in a Sports Management employment scheme.
The Sport Ireland ASPIRE Programme is a graduate employment programme that is being funded by Sport Ireland. This programme has been approved by Government with support from the Dormant Accounts Fund. The aim of this programme is to enable a number of recently qualified sport and physical activity graduates to gain relevant experience working in the sports sector and to develop relevant skills and knowledge.
The successful graduate will receive an 11 month contract and will work directly for Volleyball Ireland. Volleyball Ireland are responsible for the recruitment and selection of the graduate.
The successful candidate will gain experience in all of Volleyball Ireland’s departments and within our key programmes including but not limited to; competition management, marketing, development and high performance.
The Aspire Graduate will:
-Play a key role supporting the administration of Volleyball Ireland competitions including the National League and VLY Beach Tour
-Deliver excellent event experiences for spectators at players at our showcase events programme including the Annual Awards Evening and Grand Final
-Support our competitions and programmes within third level institutions
-Provide operational support to our National Team programmes and High -Performance department helping prepare Team Ireland for International event
-Deliver digital marketing campaigns promoting Volleyball to a wide audience
-Work with our sponsors and key partners to ensure that rights obligations are met
-Support our vast development work, in particular our schools and club support programmes
Essential Requirements:
-Have graduated with a Master’s or Primary Degree in the area of Sport or Physical Activity in 2021 or 2022.
-Be currently unemployed i.e. not in current employment.
-Be available for the 11 month contract duration.
-Be eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.
-Have a full clean driving licence and access to a car.
