VLY Association Cup Finals Weekend, taking place in Limerick from March 27th-29th.
After a dramatic semi-final weekend that saw both reigning Cup champions eliminated, we are guaranteed new names on the trophies this year. The countdown to Finals weekend begins.
Friday 27th March – SSI Finals
The weekend gets underway with four SSI Finals on Friday evening, showcasing some of the strongest university teams in the country.
11:30 – Women’s Tier 2 Cup Final: TU Dublin City vs Griffith College Dublin
14:00 – Men’s Tier 2 Cup Final: SETU Carlow vs MTU Cork
16:30 – Men’s Tier 1 Cup Final: Trinity College Dublin vs Maynooth University OR University of Limerick
19:00 – Women’s Tier 1 Cup Final: Trinity College Dublin vs University of Galway
Saturday 28th March
11:00 – Girls U16 Final
Our next generation of talent takes centre stage as the U16 Girls battle for silverware. Kildare VC vs Dalkey Devils
13:00 – Women’s Cup Final
Gardians vs DVC Lions
After knocking out defending champions Santry Calypso in a thrilling five-set semi-final, Gardians have earned their shot at the Cup. Standing in their way are DVC Lions, last year’s Grand Finals runners-up, who delivered a commanding semi-final performance to reach this stage. A new Women’s Cup champion will be crowned.
15:30 – Men’s Shield Final
Gardians vs Aer Lingus
Two experienced sides go head-to-head for Shield honours. Aer Lingus showed their composure in the semi-finals, while Gardians produced a dominant display to book their place. Expect intensity from the first serve.
Sunday 29th March
11:00 – Boys U16 Final
Another opportunity to see emerging talent compete for national honours. Kildare VC vs Kilkenny Spartans
13:00 – Women’s Shield Final
Santry Sparks vs BMP Valkyries
Both teams impressed in their semi-final victories and now meet with silverware at stake. With strong attacking options on both sides, this promises to be a competitive contest.
15:00 – Men’s Cup Final
Balbriggan vs Tallaght Rockets
The men’s Cup Final will now be at Limerick on Sunday 29th at 3:30pm
