Sunday, October 31st marked the official start date for the new regional development officers (RDOs)
Meet the Team.
Antonio Barros – Cork
Lee Annand – Galway
Joe Hyland – Kildare
Evrim Genc Oguz – Dublin North
Gianni Massa- Dublin South
The new RDOs will support Volleyball Ireland in delivering more programmes to more locations nationwide. This means VLY will be better equipped to raise participation and performance in line with our strategic plan.
National Development Manager Conor Flood who was present during Sunday’s officer training session in Limerick added ” This is a really positive move from Volleyball Ireland and will ultimately enable us to grow our game in regions around the country. The candidates selected to be part of this new programme are of an extremely high calibre and we are lucky to have them on board working together with us”
The regional development officers who work on a casual basis are equipped with the knowledge and resources to deliver all school and club programmes within their counties and beyond. The high quality of the officers also means they are in a position to deliver any ad hoc volleyball projects that arise throughout the year.
