Aoibhín Cassidy

When asked about her proudest volleyball moment, Aoibhin's response was "Representing Ireland at the Small Nations European Championships in Luxembourg 2019 and achieving our first competitive international victory". Her favourite thing about competing is "Winning and that sense of achievement and pride for your team when something you’ve worked hard on at training comes together in a match" and Aoibhin's biggest volleyball role model is Tijana Bošković. Like many athletes, Aibhin does have a pre-game ritual which she tells us consists of "Visualising myself/my team carrying out each skill that we have worked on; serving, passing, setting, hitting and blocking".
