Volleyball Ireland’s Education & Training Commission are delighted to reveal the 26 inaugural candidates for the first Coach Development Programme. The initial intake of new coaches originate from 16 different clubs and are spread across the country.
The programme is a blend of mentoring, online learning, inspirational talks and practical workshops, with the aim to support and develop our coaches at all levels of the game.
Coach Education & Player Pathways Coordinator Conor Flood said, “The aim of the tier 1 initiative is to support and help new coaches build confidence and knowledge. We’ve been really impressed with the quantity & quality of the applications, which are a great mix of club and school team coaches. We’ve also recruited some coaches that are interested in setting up clubs in new areas; which is very exciting.”
