Finances shouldn’t be a barrier to representing your country.
An international youth Volleyball player spends around €1,750 per year to represent their country. This doesn’t include expenses like petrol costs, bus tickets or equipment. Players across multiple teams, or indoor & beach pay upwards of €2,500. Some parents have two children in the programme. We need to help them. This isn’t sustainable.
We know that some players drop out of playing International Volleyball because of the costs. This isn’t right.
Therefore, we are proud to launch Dig In! – a new philanthropic programme that facilitates individuals and businesses to financially support young Irish Volleyball players.
