International Referee Workshop 2025

At the 2025 AGM there was a discussion around upgrading referees in order to meet the demand of the new pathway criteria. The new pathway will be our policy and guidance document moving forward when referees are progressing up the levels. However, there will be one additional annual opportunity for referees to progress should they complete the International Referee Workshop.

International Referee Workshop Details

• Open to all levels of referees Level 1 – Level 3. ( Level 4’s may attend for educational purposes, places permitting. However, they cannot be upgraded to international status from this course)
• September 27^th, 9-5pm ( Carlton Hotel, Blanchardstown) 9-5pm & September 28^th, 9-5pm (Coláiste De Hide)
• Exam to be completed with 85% pass mark
• The full weekend is €40.
• Places are limited due to assessment opportunities.

Notes

• The course is, 1. Theory 2. Practical Assessment & 3. Exam. All sections must be completed to be passed by our international referees Jennifer and Giordano.  
• You cannot be downgraded on this workshop

Your Tutors & International Referees

Jennifer Hesse

• 400 matches in the Bundesliga and 33 international games.
• Promoted to the Second Bundesliga in 2007 and reached the First Bundesliga in 2014.
• Since 2015, been working as a referee examiner in my federal state.
• In 2023, took on the role of A-Level examiner at the national level.
• In 2022, became a member of the German Refereeing Commission.
• A career highlight -served as first referee in the Men’s Cup Final 2024
