Overview
Volleyball Ireland is seeking an experienced and visionary FIVB Level 2 Technical Director to lead the development and enhancement of our Performance Pathway and Coach Education programmes. This is a new and pivotal role which will shape the future of Irish volleyball through the execution of our High Performance Strategy which includes mentoring our national team coaches, implementing our high-performance framework and systems, driving excellence across all levels of the game and ensuring a fair, transparent and safe environment for our performance athletes.

Key Responsibilities
· Performance Pathway
o Become familiar with Volleyball Ireland and its High Performance Framework.
o Work with the High Performance Commission to identify areas for improvement and growth and build these into the Framework in agreement with the Board of Volleyball Ireland.
o Develop a comprehensive strategy to enhance the performance pathway across Development Centres and all National Teams.
o Establish clear and transparent performance metrics and selection criteria for all national teams.
· Coach Education, Mentoring and Development
o Provide ongoing mentoring and guidance to National Team coaches.
o Support National Team coaches (and their coaching team) in delivering high-quality training sessions and camps.
o Assist coaches in developing comprehensive plans to achieve the objectives for those teams as laid out by the High Performance Commission.
o Deliver FIVB Level ½ Coaching Courses in as agreed with the Volleyball Ireland.
· Systems & Processes
o Create planning and review templates to support National Team coaches in monitoring progress and outcomes.
o Develop robust talent identification metrics for all stages of the pathway.
o Ensure compliance with FIVB reporting requirements related to knowledge transfer projects and course delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring:
· Proven experience in high-performance Volleyball and Beach Volleyball development and coach education.
· Strong mentoring and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support coaches at all levels.
· Expertise in designing and implementing performance pathways and talent identification systems.
· Excellent communication, organisational, and strategic planning abilities.
· Proven experience and qualifications with FIVB coaching standards and international best practices.
