U18 SCA Championship Comes to Dublin: A Historic First for Irish Volleyball

Volleyball Ireland is proud to welcome European volleyball back to Dublin as we host the U18 Small Countries Association (SCA) Championship from January 12th-14th , a landmark event for the sport in Ireland.

For the first time ever, the U18 SCA Championship will be held as a double gender event, featuring both men’s and women’s national teams competing side by side over three days of international volleyball. This historic format not only showcases the growth of the competition, but also highlights Volleyball Ireland’s commitment to developing the game across all pathways.

Bringing both competitions together creates a unique atmosphere, doubling the action and giving fans the opportunity to experience international men’s and women’s volleyball in one exciting event.

For Ireland’s U18 National Teams, it’s a chance to compete at European level in front of a home crowd, an invaluable experience for players building toward senior international competition.

Across the weekend, teams from Small Countries Association nations will compete in a packed schedule of matches, with Ireland’s men’s and women’s squads facing top-level international opposition.

Expect:

  • Fast-paced, high-energy volleyball

  • Emerging European talent

  • Competitive matches throughout the tournament

  • A vibrant atmosphere in the stands

With fixtures spread across January 12th-14th, supporters can enjoy a full weekend of sport and entertainment.
