The School Volley Senior Championships Finals return the National Indoor Arena on December 16th.
It has been yet another record breaking year of entries as new schools continue to join volleyball competitions.
Over 10 short weeks, 140 Senior Teams took to the courts but only 12 are still standing for Finals Day. An incredible 389 matches were completed in order to find our 2025 finalists.

Coláiste Muire, Clare VS St Louis SS, Monaghan
Coláiste return to the finals once again as they will look to overturn last year’s defeat in this competition. It might surprise many to learn that it’s been 6 years since the Ennis school took home the Senior title. Standing in their way are the defending B champions from 2024 St Louis SS. It’s been nothing short of an amazing journey for the team from Monaghan. They have only joined school volleyball two years ago and made instant impact. Can they make history and seal the school’s first Division A title?

Sutton Park School, Dublin VS Coláiste Muire Máthair, Galway
Get ready for some serious action as both sides look to take home the title for the first time in their school’s history. Sutton have been here before losing back in 2023 For the Galway school it’s their first outing in Division A but after a schools Cup Final appearance at the end of last season this will come as no big surprise to teams. History is in the making!!.

Rockford Manor, Dublin VS Presentation Thurles, Tipperary
Rockford are no strangers to finals over the last number of years and once again they find themselves in action after overcoming some incredibly tight matches in QF and SF stages. The School will take on Pres. Thurles. It’s a first time for the Tipperary school at the final’s day, but they will be confident in writing themselves into the history books come Tuesday afternoon. The teams have met previously this year in what was a tense and tight affair.

Piper’s Hill College, Kildare VS Patrician HS, Monaghan
It’s Deja Vu as these two lock horns once more for the National title. The schools met in last years u16 finals in Galway. On that occasion it was the Naas school that won out- 25-22, 22-25, 15-11 in what was one of the school games of the year. Can Patrician even the score?

Coláiste Na Hinse, Meath VS Beaufort College, Meath
It will be an all Meath Affair in the National Final! Coláiste NaHinse have been here before with the boys however it’s a first time for the girls. Beaufort are newcomers to volleyball but to underestimate could be their opponent’s downfall. Although it’s both Meath teams in the final, the schools have dispatched teams from Monaghan, Dublin, Cork, Wicklow, Louth, Westmeath Laois, and Roscommon to earn their spot at Finals Day. What a match up we have!

Coláiste Eoin, Dublin VS Elphin CC, Roscommon
It’s traditional vs the new comers as Elphin CC take on Coláiste Eoin for the Senior title. The records will reflect Elphin competing in finals 20 years ago, but for Coláiste this is their first time at the big show (having only started out in volleyball a couple of years). Records and experience won’t count for much come Tuesday as both teams fight it out for glory in 2025.
