4v4 Volleyball

2025-26 volleyball season will include multiple events for U16 & U13 players in the format of blitzes, fun games and skill sessions.

VLY. 4v4 volleyball programme was developed to make the sport of volleyball more accessible to children, by simplifying the game to suit children of all skill levels. The result is simpler games, played on a smaller court, with a softer ball, allowing children more opportunities to develop the skills necessary to excel at volleyball

4v4 Mixed Team Events

Blitz 1 – December 6th, Loreto SS, Kilkenny- Competitive Blitz (teams of 6, any gender)

1. Teams must complete team entry fee. Click HERE

2. All Players must hold a VLY. Membership. Click HERE

*The VLY. U18 non league membership (suitable for 4v4)  is a one-off €5 payment enabling access for all non league events.
 

Benefits of 4v4 volleyball

Volleyball is internationally recognised as a primer sport for many other sports as it improves Balance, Agility, Reaction speed, Hand/eye coordination and Teamwork.
 
Other benefits are:
➢Ability to engage a wider sector of education establishments with a positive non-contact product
➢Expose the sport to families, as many parents will come to watch participants play
➢Players will develop skills that will benefit them when they play in the 6v6 format
